(parenthesis added).
“Love your enemies,
Do good to those who hate you,
Bless those who curse you (continue to bless),
Pray for those who spitefully use you (so that God might move in their circumstances).
To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also (don’t retaliate. Let God judge).
From him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either (trust God for your provision in the years ahead).
Give to everyone who asks of you (be willing to share).
From him who takes away your goods do not ask them back (do not fear loss).
Just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise (God will see that you are protected).”From Luke 6:27 – 31
If you do these things,
“Your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.
Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.”Luke 6: 35 & 36.
God with us, revealed in us.
“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know (or when He knows) to refuse the evil and choose the good.”
Isaiah 7:14 & 15.
Be His hands and feet. Amen.
