Walking in the Miraculous

Salvation is an every-day experience. Forgiveness, is a miraculous, every-day experience, because we continue to sin. Salvation and forgiveness are never to be taken for granted.

Salvation is an every-day experience.
Forgiveness, is a miraculous, every-day experience, because we continue to sin.
Salvation and forgiveness are never to be taken for granted. Every day, we can receive this miraculous intervention of God in His forgiveness of our sins, and the forgiveness of others by us, through the provision made by the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross. But Christ’s forgiveness, is only for those who repent (turn away from their sin) and who receive Him.

It is a miracle!

  • We move in the miraculous daily!

Every-time we are forgiven, and every-time we forgive others who have sinned against us, we are seeing God’s miracles performed in and through us. Amen.

Jesus said to the paralytic,

“Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

Mark 2:5

But the scribes, not believing that Jesus was the Christ, reasoned in their hearts,

“Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone? But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His Spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, ‘Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins’ – He said to the paralytic, ‘I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.’ Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying ‘We never saw anything like this!’”

Mark 2:7-12

Jesus did both! He forgave people of their sins AND He healed them.

BOTH were equally miraculous!

Walking in the Spirit

When we walk in the Spirit, we are not justifying or satisfying the things of the flesh.

This is why God instructs,

“In your anger, do not sin.”

Ephesians 4:26

Also,

“Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.”

Ephesians 4:26 & 27

So, what does it mean to walk in the spirit?

It means we are looking to the things of God, not to the things of man.

The Apostle Paul says,

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”

Romans 8:5 & 6

Similarly, Paul says,

“For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’”

Romans 8:13 – 15

A New Commandment

Jesus said,

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

John 13:34 & 35

This means that there is another one – another person – that we must continue to love.

In the same way, Jesus also said,

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”

John 10:27

To Keep this same perspective, when the 70 disciples returned and spoke of the authority they had to cast out demons in Jesus’ name, Jesus said to them,

“Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

Luke 10:20

Keep following the Shepherd and you will know success.

The Master’s ways are always best. Amen.

Who is this Christ?

When Christ came into the world, He said, “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You prepared for Me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings You were not pleased. Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about Me in the scroll— I have come to do Your will, My God.”

If you would like to have a relationship with God through accepting His Son Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, please pray the prayer below.

Dear Heavenly Father. Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to die on the cross for my sins. I am sorry for the sins I have committed and I ask You to forgive me. I now turn away from all the things that I know to be wrong and I receive Your Holy Spirit and Your gift of eternal life. Thank You for this free gift of Salvation and eternal life. Help me to come to know and experience Your love for me more and more, and to now share the love You have given me with others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We would love to hear from you: If you have prayed this prayer for the first time, or have recommitted your life to Christ today I would love to hear from you to encourage you in your new walk with Christ. What next: Once we have started our relationship with Christ – it is important that we continue to grow in our understanding of Him, and experience His love for us on a regular basis. God does this for us as we read the Bible, which I encourage you to do on a regular basis, asking the Holy Spirit to help you understand it and make it “come alive” to you in a very personal way. May I encourage you to do this every day, and to actively pursue those things that God reveals to you. We also need to be spending time with other like-minded Christians on a regular basis, who are also growing in their relationship with God. We gain encouragement from being with other growing believers. Ask God to lead you to a Bible-believing church (or Bible-believing Christian group) that will encourage your relationship with Christ and help to meet your needs. Ask Him, and trust that He will guide you to the place of fellowship that is right for you.

May God both work in you and through you, those things that He desires, as you continue to submit your life to Him each day.
